Nokia has released the new 5800 Xpress Music in what looks like an attempt to steal some of the touch screen market share. This handheld device has been nick named the tube and is a little short and skinny compared to the almighty iPhone. The skinnier feel should make it easier for one handed control in comparison to the iPhone. It is running on a 5th release of the S60 Symbian software and as it is the first release of a Symbian touch screen it is a little buggy but I am sure that these issues will be ironed out shortly. The 5800 is packing a nice 640x360 touch screen with a range of keyboard options but the qwerty keyboard is really only useful in landscape mode. IT takes up to a 16gig microSD card and has a 3.2 megapixel camera. Check out the read link for heaps more info. Jump to article | |

The time is closing in on the availability of the long awaited N96. Whilst it is only a slight upgrade on the previous flagship, the N95, this phone does indeed look very hot. Judging by the fact that the N95 is still a top shelf phone well over a year after its release we can only hope for big things for this phone. This phone is sure to take a big chunk of the phone market. Once people realise that the idea of a touch screen is merely a novelty they will be ditching their iPhones for a phone like the N96 that is far superior in capability and functionality.
