 Nokia has released the new 5800 Xpress Music in what looks like an attempt to steal some of the touch screen market share. This handheld device has been nick named the tube and is a little short and skinny compared to the almighty iPhone. The skinnier feel should make it easier for one handed control in comparison to the iPhone.It is running on a 5th release of the S60 Symbian software and as it is the first release of a Symbian touch screen it is a little buggy but I am sure that these issues will be ironed out shortly. The 5800 is packing a nice 640x360 touch screen with a range of keyboard options but the qwerty keyboard is really only useful in landscape mode.  The time is closing in on the availability of the long awaited N96. Whilst it is only a slight upgrade on the previous flagship, the N95, this phone does indeed look very hot. Judging by the fact that the N95 is still a top shelf phone well over a year after its release we can only hope for big things for this phone. This phone is sure to take a big chunk of the phone market. Once people realise that the idea of a touch screen is merely a novelty they will be ditching their iPhones for a phone like the N96 that is far superior in capability and functionality.  The N95 looks like it is going be taken down from it's almighty reign at the top of the phone market. Leaving aside the touch screen fanatic, iPhone loving fanboys there is still a market for people who want a phone to have tactile non-qwerty buttons. Samsung feels relatively confident that they are going to take out the N95. With the spec list by far being better on the Samsung why wouldn't it? The fact that is being forgotten is that the N95 has been released for quite some time now and the i8510 has not been released.  Samsungs latest release, the Instinct, is set to rival and possibly take down the almighty iPhone. Although there are always going to be iPhone lovers that would choose nothing but the iPhone regardless of specs and features there are those who choose based on performance and capability. It is that group of people that Samsung are praying on and with the specs inside the Instinct I think Apple definitely has something to worry about.Check out the link for some comparisons.  For those of you that were doubting the creation of a phone integrated into a watch, doubt no more. This fully functional camera phone has been adapted into a watch body. This watch phone comes complete with external and internal displays, GSM Quadband comptibility, 1.3 megapixel camera, bluetooth and many more of the standard features of a mobile phone today. Unfortunately the release is most probably going to be about 10 years too late as the amount of consumers that are going to want this device in todays society is going to be minimal.  Nokia have finally gone live with their N-Gage platform for N81, N81 8GB, N82, N95 and N95 8GB phones. They have plans to release it on some earlier N series phones but at the moment if you have one of the above mentioned phones you should definitely check it out by clicking on the image.This is a preemptive strike from Nokia in an attempt to compete with other mobile phone gaming platforms especially the much talked about psp phone. Hopefully this N-Gage platform will take advantage of the capabilities of these powerful N-series phones by offering better graphics, game selection and even online multiplayer compatibility.
