NEWS: Nokia 5800 released, but will it shape up to the iPhone [ Category - Mobile Phones ] | 2008-10-03 01:44:22 - by Marc B | Nokia has released the new 5800 Xpress Music in what looks like an attempt to steal some of the touch screen market share. This handheld device has been nick named the tube and is a little short and skinny compared to the almighty iPhone. The skinnier feel should make it easier for one handed control in comparison to the iPhone.
It is running on a 5th release of the S60 Symbian software and as it is the first release of a Symbian touch screen it is a little buggy but I am sure that these issues will be ironed out shortly.
The 5800 is packing a nice 640x360 touch screen with a range of keyboard options but the qwerty keyboard is really only useful in landscape mode. IT takes up to a 16gig microSD card and has a 3.2 megapixel camera. Check out the read link for heaps more info. | 1 Comments | 371 Views | | Del.icio.us | StumbleUpon | |
