 Samsung have their sights set on the Macbook Air and judging from this prototype it looks like they are in with a fighting chance. This ultra thin laptop looks sexy enough to break some hearts if you choose not to let it break your bank. It appears to have some sort of 3 way fold out system but as this is only a prototype we are all going to have to wait and see if Samsung is even going to release this before we find out much more about it.  For all those fans of last years top selling FPS/RPG, Bioshock, Take Two Interactive Software have decided to go ahead with plans to create a blockbuster movie based on the game. The movie is going to be made by Universal Studios and directed by the Pirates of the Caribbean director, Gore Verbinski. The movie will follow the game storyline and will be set in an underground utopia where genetic experiments have gone totally wrong. Gore is a regular gamer and is a fan of Bioshock which will help in retaining similarities to the game. Jump to article | |

 Finally the wait is over. For the lucky few that didn't have to work today they are most probably fast asleep now because they have been playing Grand Theft Auto since midnight last night. For those of us still left that haven't had the chance it appears the second hand on the clock may in fact be moving backwards.In case you have been living with your head in the sand or you just don't really care about computer games the topic of conversation is actually the long awaited release of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 4. This game is set for big things and judging by the few blogs that are starting to appear on the net by the lucky ones that have played it already, this game is definitely living up to all the expectations that the fans had hoped. So if you haven't already purchased this game then you really need to get up off your backside and find out exactly what your missing out on. Rest assured, you won't be disappointed.  Although this may not be appropriate for many of us, an Afghani homeowner has gone to the extreme by creating a one off burglar alarm complete with fully functioning remotely controlled AK-47 rifle. Once the alarm is tripped the device is setup to contact him on his mobile phone where he is able to communicate through his phone to the unlucky burglars to warn them from entering his premises. If the warnings are not headed then with the push of a button on his phone he is able to fire the rifle ultimately scaring the trespassers from his property. The questions that need to be asked are: When is he going to Patent this?; When will this be mass produced?; and How much is it going to cost me?. Jump to article | |

 I am sure that you think you have seen just about every different variation on the all time classic game of Tetris. I am however quite confident that you haven't heard of this creative multiplayer version of Tetris. Basically your controls are are setup on a custom made arm wrestling board where moving your brick left or right is done by moving your arm and your opponents arm left or right. Whilst this would be unfair for unmatched opponents, for 2 people of similar strength it could prove quite interesting. Check out the link for a video of it in action. Jump to article | |

 Finally and it's only 15 years too late. What would have been the ultimate gaming console some years ago has now been released. The Super Genintari is a 4 in 1 console that brings together the Atari 2600, NES, SNES and Genesis. Whilst it has taken quite some time this is still no easy feat and required many man hours of tedious soldering and space management.In reality this really only holds novelty value with a select few people but for those few it will rate very highly.  Once again Ben Heck has not ceased to amaze us with his modding powers being put to the test on his last project. Ben has pulled apart a PS3 and mounted it into a customised PS3 laptop shell. He has even included a keyboard and a 17 inch 720P panel to play all your favourite PS3 games on.Whilst it is not truly portable as it does require an AC power input it is still no small feat to have pulled this off.  Dell have upped the available resolution on their award winning XPS 1530 laptop range to a whopping 1920 x 1200 making this laptop completely high definition compatible with only a 15 inch screen. The XPS 1530 is a great mid sized laptop and with this addition plus the availability of the Penryn chip and Blu Ray drive it is going to make it hard for competitors to compete.Many users would agree that the text size on this 15 inch screen is going to be quite difficult to read but I am sure that the media benefits, for those that want them, will be worth it. In reality the human eye is not quite going to be able to make out the difference when watching a high res movie on a screen that small but it still gives the owner something to gloat about, not to mention sore eyes when surfing the net.
